Agreement to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Warrantio. They apply to the Warrantio app for iOS and Android and to this website.
By downloading, accessing, or using Warrantio, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you use Warrantio for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we store and why. It is a separate document and part of how the service works.
What Warrantio does
Warrantio is a record-keeping app for the appliances in a home. You enter the appliance, purchase, warranty, service schedule, and service history details yourself. The app stores them in your account, keeps them synchronized across your devices, and surfaces the service that is coming up.
Entry is manual by design. The current release does not scan invoices, read manuals, or extract details automatically, and it does not connect to manufacturers or retailers.
Warrantio is a memory aid, not the authority on your appliance. A record is only as accurate as what you enter and keep up to date.
Who can use Warrantio
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a binding contract to use Warrantio.
You must not be barred from using the service under the laws that apply to you, and you must not use it from a place where doing so would be unlawful.
Warrantio is not directed to children. Do not create an account for anyone under 18.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Give accurate information, keep your password secure, and do not share your account with anyone else.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. If you believe someone else has accessed it, change your password and tell us promptly.
We may need to send you service messages about security, your account, or these terms. Keep the email address on your account current.
Your records and your content
You own the appliance records, notes, and other content you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Warrantio.
You confirm that you have the right to submit the content, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
We do not verify your records. Keep your own copies of purchase documents, warranties, and receipts you may need to make a claim.
If you close your account, the licence ends for future use, subject to backups, legal retention, and the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Use Warrantio for your own home, and lawfully. Do not:
- Break the law, infringe rights, or use the app to harass or harm anyone.
- Access another person’s account, or attempt to bypass authentication or access controls.
- Probe, scan, overload, or disrupt the service or the systems that run it.
- Copy, scrape, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or its content, except as the law expressly allows.
- Reverse engineer or decompile the app, except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
- Upload malware, or use automated means to create accounts or extract data.
- Misrepresent your identity or your relationship with Warrantio.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these rules. Where a breach is serious or ongoing, we may act without advance notice.
Reminders and service information
Reminders and schedules are organizational tools. Delivery depends on your device, operating system settings, network, and the push services run by Apple and Google. A reminder can be delayed, suppressed, or never delivered.
Warrantio does not perform, arrange, or supervise service work, and it does not certify that an appliance is safe or that a warranty claim will be accepted. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and warranty terms, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot safely do yourself.
Nothing in the app is professional, legal, financial, or safety advice.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Warrantio available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages, and errors can interrupt access.
We may add, change, or remove features. If we discontinue a feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice where we can, and you may close your account.
We may impose reasonable limits on storage or usage to protect the service. We will tell you before a limit affects you.
App stores and third-party services
You download the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and this agreement does not replace them.
These terms are between you and Warrantio, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
If you follow a link to another service, that service is responsible for its own content and practices.
Our intellectual property
The app, the Warrantio name and mark, the design, and the text and graphics we provide are owned by Warrantio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial home record keeping, subject to these terms and the app store’s rules. All rights not granted are reserved.
Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Warrantio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that records will always be available, or that reminders will arrive.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that the law does not allow us to exclude. If you are a consumer, you keep the statutory rights of your country of residence.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Warrantio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost records, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service.
Where we are found liable, our total liability for all claims relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in that period, or the minimum amount the law requires.
Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Warrantio at any time and ask us to close your account. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your records.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if the law requires it, or if continuing would put the service or another person at risk. Where it is reasonable, we will explain why and give you a chance to respond.
When access ends, your licence to use the app ends. We may delete your records as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law, continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India. If mandatory consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, or gives you protections that cannot be waived, nothing in these terms takes that away.
Before starting a formal claim, write to us with the details so we have a chance to resolve it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes or the law requires it. The date at the top shows the current version.
If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Warrantio after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and close your account.
Contact
Questions about these terms, or a notice about a dispute, should go to the contact below.
Questions about these terms or a legal notice can be sent through the support details published on the Warrantio listing in the App Store or Google Play. We aim to reply within 30 days.
